Karen Bit Vejle is one of the worlds leading psaligraphers—creating images of air and paper. Using a pair of scissors as a tool, she cuts her own multi-faceted world into the paper. The works are formed from a large, continuous piece of paper and then cut using only a pair of scissors.
Presenting the true experience of Karen Bit Vejles's amazing papercut artworks through a screen is an almost impossible mission. But with full screen galleries and an uncluttered interface, a self-hiding menu and a focus on the media and visuals, this website provides a great online showroom. It is also important to be present and active on the web.
Launch project
To utilize some of the services without putting extra work on Karens hands, we've implemented all publishing through external services. When you enter the site, you are in reality viewing styled versions of Flickr sets, Google calendar, and Tumblr.
For the full screen image-viewier, we are using the
scaler-script released in our blog.
