Last Thursday, the biggest annual event for the creative industry in Norway, Visuelt took place in Oslo. The aim of the competition is to promote innovation, bring further professional competence and present the best work done by creative professionals in Norway.
This year, our Gustav was part of the Jury for Interactive Design and also present at the seminars and the award ceremony. After having been present during the seminars with lots of great speakers, the prize ceremony awarded Klipp og Lim with silver for the Visdom-poster and three diplomas, the ‘Work, Joy, Dreams’-Illustration, NCEI in Moving Image, and TSO in Interactive design. Visuelt has a very high quality of submitted works, so we’re really excited about our work getting noticed!
If you want to read more about Visueltdagene, Onion:blogg did a lot of great reporting from the whole arrangement.

The poster made by Ole Kristian for our short movie “Visdom” was rewarded with gold at the Sterk Reklame awards yesterday. Visdom is produced by Klipp og Lim and is currently in the final stages of post production. A more or less finalized edition is to be shown in the “Work in Progress” programme at Kosmorama. We also recieved diplomas for Trondheim Symfoniorkester and our Work Joy Dreams-illustration. Congrats to all the other winners!
“Flax”, a movie that Sander scored some time ago, won the prestigious “Best film” award at the I’ve Seen Films-festival in Milan. The film, directed by Bård Ivar Engelsås and produced by Ekkofilm, was shot two years ago here in Trondheim. Kristoffer Hivju wrote the script and also plays in it. The jury consisted of names such as Anton Corbijn, Rutger Hauer, Christopher Nolan, Robert Rodriguez and Ridley Scott. Sander wrote, recorded and produced all the music in the film.
Congratulations to everyone involved!
Below is an excerpt of the short film, the whole film can be seen on P3tv’s website.

Our new site won a diploma at this years Gulltaggen-awards in the category Best Corporate Website. It’s a great honor to see it receive recognition at such a prestigious arrangement amongst 19 other nominees in the category, especially when the other contestants are of such high quality.
A short summary of what Gulltaggen is all about; taken from their website:
Gulltaggen has emerged as Norway’s premier event for digital marketing, and the venue to both watch and reward the new heroes of digital creativity. Gulltaggen is the place to be for anyone who is interested in keeping track with the fast changing times of digital marketing. Gulltaggen is providing media, marketers and bureau professionals with inspiration, and the tools and techniques they need to succeed in a fast phased digital world.
«Kapp til Kapp» received The Audience Award at The Norwegian Documentary Festival in Volda. The documentary series is made by Ekkofilm and Klipp og Lim has produced the music.
The series follow Espen and Matias and their efforts to hitchhike from Norway’s northernmost point to the southernmost point of Africa. The premise for this undertaking is to travel without spending money.
Besides this major disadvantage of not having any financial means, the globetrotters have to face a number of challenges. They must make it through freezing winter, Finnish forests, pyramids, deserts and intense heat, starvation, wildlife, poor roads, tropical climate and probably an engine failure or two.
The series has been sold to TV 2 and will be aired in the course of 2009.
We are pleased to announce that «Syden» has been admitted to the Norwegian Short film Festival in Grimstad 2009. There were a total of 339 short films submitted; 58 of them were music videos.
The Norwegian Short Film Festival is an important first stage for many young filmmakers and perhaps the most important place of exposure for the established filmmakers of independent film in Norway. The international short film competition also draws filmmakers from the rest of the world to Grimstad and aims to facilitate networking between the Norwegian and the international film environment.
We’re excited about the admission and looking forward to be a part of the festival!

We were awarded with Gold and Grand Prix in the regional Sterk Reklame awards on Thursday 5th March. The work that received this honour was The Singing Coffee Beans, the animated postcard made for Kjeldsberg Kaffe.
The jury stated that this work shows it’s possible to reach a wider audience with a cost effective production. This is a bold and honest film with a defined concept. This movie was an integrated part of the new site Klipp og Lim made for Kjeldsberg Kaffe.
The beautiful mooses will find their permament spot as soon as we find the right place for them! You can see all of the mooses at the Moose Showroom.
