New Sites and Summer Vacation

11. July, 2010 Ι 0 Comments Ι Tags: , ,

summerishere

We’ve now all officially gone on summer vacation and we won’t be back until around early of August.

Before we closed shop, we’ve updated our portfolio with four new websites that have gone live. Take a look,  hope you enjoy them.

We’ve got several other projects that we can’t wait to show you once we’re back — until then, we wish everyone a great summer!

Festival Season

20. April, 2010 Ι 0 Comments Ι Tags: , , , ,

We are proud to present a new addition to our product assortment! The website “Finere Festival” offers different promotional packages aimed at the Norwegian festival market. Most Norwegian festivals are relatively small, and their budgets for promotional material (posters/web-page a.s.o) aren’t often all that.

We hope to amend this by offering a streamlined production process where web and print are created simultaneously with high intensity. This will hopefully result in visually engaging posters and websites for some of the hundreds of festivals that compete for peoples attention during the year.

Check it out!

Searching for a 3D Designer

2. March, 2010 Ι 0 Comments Ι Tags: ,

We’re inviting a skilled 3D designer/animator to work under our roof at Innherredsveien 7. Our offices currently consist of us, Skala Analyse & Rådgiving, Daffy Design, Magnusland, Normann Fiction and Aivu Media.

We’ve got space to let and we would love to have someone with 3D competence amongst us.

Hopefully this is an arrangement with mutual benefits as Klipp og Lim from time to time takes on projects requiring this type of production. We’d like to think that Klipp og Lim is a creative environment where ideas and ambitions can be nourished.

If you’re looking for an office space, have lots of experience working with 3D and would like to work in a creative environment, do not hesitate to contact us for more details. Send an e-mail to mail@klippoglim.no with some information about yourself and a few samples of your work and we’ll get back to you!

Christmas Greetings!

God jul!

This has been a productive and stimulating year for Klipp og Lim. We have gained the trust of new patrons, acquired new talented people and moved to Innherredsveien 7.

We’re really looking forward to embark on 2010! February we tear down a wall and expand our office space, and make more room for our production team. We’ll also rent out space and four resourceful people will be located at our address.

2010 also marks our 10th anniversary. We take pride in the fact that we have achieved to build a company that has sustained the test of time. Indeed a cause for celebration.

We’ll be back January the 4th — until then, Merry Christmas and a happy new year to everyone!

Regnmakerne: Passing on the Stick

21. December, 2009 Ι 0 Comments Ι Tags: , ,

Our long time involvement in Regnmakerne is at an end. Regnmakerne (The Rainmakers) is a national concept for children initiated and funded by Enova SF. The goal is to involve and create interest and engagement for the energy subject among children and youngsters.

Klipp og Lim has for several years been a subcontractor for Scanpartner on this project. Initially our animator and illustrator Lars was commissioned to illustrate the three books about Regnmakerne by Klaus Hagerup. The characters he developed have since been an integral part of the rainmaker universe and have been featured on TV, web, printed matter and giveaways. Scanpartner has decided to serve the Enova account in-house.

As our involvement with Regnmakerne expired, Håvard chose to pursue a professional actor career and entered a three year course at Teaterproduksjon og skuespillerfag in Verdal. We wish him good luck in his future endeavors! We’d also like to thank Scanpartner for the collaboration and extend our greetings to Enova.

We’ll leave you with one of the spots we created where Ruben gives us tips on how to save energy at home.

Two New Employees

Eirik & Siri

We’re happy to announce that August has brought two new employees to our ranks. Well, it’s not all “new” as it’s more an official instating of two people whom we’ve already been working closely with for some time now. These valuable new additions of competence reflects Klipp og Lim’s strategic decision to enhance our strength in the field of web development and identity design.

Siri Selæs has for several years been working as a designer in Oslo associated with the companies Ashely Booth Design AS, Scandinavian Design Group and Mission Design Agency. She has been doing everything from product packaging to full scale profiles for large corporations. Previous clients include Sparebank 1, Norges Automobil-Forbund, Reinertsen, DnB NOR, DnB, Widerøes Flyveselskap, TINE BA, Procordia Foods AB / Stabburet, Peter Möller, Akademika, Norges Handelshøyskole, Telenor, ICA Ahold / RIMI and Coca Cola Norway.

Eirik Backer has been associated Klipp og Lim on a freelance basis the last two years. Before he came to us he has been responsible for projects like Gotochina, Joseph Cartright, Kathryn Naish, Kosmonaut, Resman, Snorre Valen and The South. He has developed our own content management system (CMS) called Snop, which is an intuitive, flexible and royalty free CMS. This solution is based on XML-files updated with web interface and requires no database. Patrons that have or are in the process of getting Snop implemented on their sites are Trondheim Symfoniorkester, Sorgenfri, Trøndelag Senter for Samtidskunst, Trøndelagsutstillinga and of course our own website.

This employment will also enable Eirik to develop the CMS further and implement additional functionality. Eirik will also continue to share various development techniques on our blog, like he’s done in the much commented “Full Screen Images” post.

It is with great pleasure we welcome Nina Steen as the latest addition to our board. Nina has several years of experience from the cultural sector as well as the more profane realms of commerce. She was head of the international film festival Kosmorama for several years and is currently the head of communication at Trondheim Symphony Orchestra (TSO).

Together with chairman Egil Hefte, Nina is the second external member of our board. We have no doubt Nina will bring a lot of enthusiasm, experience and new ideas to the table. We’re looking forward to working with you!

New Website, in English

8. March, 2009 Ι 6 Comments Ι Tags: ,

First of all, hope you like our new website. As you might have noticed, the entire Klipp og Lim website is now presented in English as opposed to Norwegian which we’ve used up to this point. Well, the blog was already in English, but it was not integrated in the main website.

Why this change? Well, there are several reasons and it’s something we’ve given serious thought before we made the final decision.
