We are proud to present a new addition to our product assortment! The website “Finere Festival” offers different promotional packages aimed at the Norwegian festival market. Most Norwegian festivals are relatively small, and their budgets for promotional material (posters/web-page a.s.o) aren’t often all that.
We hope to amend this by offering a streamlined production process where web and print are created simultaneously with high intensity. This will hopefully result in visually engaging posters and websites for some of the hundreds of festivals that compete for peoples attention during the year.
In the beginning of March we advertised for a skilled 3D designer/animator to share office space with us. We can’t complain about the response as we received a number of CVs and portfolios. Klipp og Lim had a lot of talent to choose from, and in the end it was Vegard Midjo that drew the longest straw.
Vegard is running the company Wingman3D AS and is moving inn with us the first of April. We wish to use this occasion to welcome Vegard Midjo and to say thank you to all applicants.
The poster made by Ole Kristian for our short movie “Visdom” was rewarded with gold at the Sterk Reklame awards yesterday. Visdom is produced by Klipp og Lim and is currently in the final stages of post production. A more or less finalized edition is to be shown in the “Work in Progress” programme at Kosmorama. We also recieved diplomas for Trondheim Symfoniorkester and our Work Joy Dreams-illustration. Congrats to all the other winners!
We’ve got space to let and we would love to have someone with 3D competence amongst us.
Hopefully this is an arrangement with mutual benefits as Klipp og Lim from time to time takes on projects requiring this type of production. We’d like to think that Klipp og Lim is a creative environment where ideas and ambitions can be nourished.
If you’re looking for an office space, have lots of experience working with 3D and would like to work in a creative environment, do not hesitate to contact us for more details. Send an e-mail to mail@klippoglim.no with some information about yourself and a few samples of your work and we’ll get back to you!
NTNU’s new online game, “Kampen om framtiden”, has lately recieved a lot of attention. The game is developed by Terravision and NTNU, and we’ve produced the music.
The theme is based around the same theme we made for NTNU in an earlier campaign, but updated to sound more ‘gameish’. The tune we initially created for NTNU gradually established itself as the university’s musical identity. The background music is available as a mobile ringtone by sending SKAPENDE to 2097 (1,- NOK). Enjoy!
We made these typographic posters for The Trondheim Junior Soloists, a training orchestra for The Trondheim Soloists who are performing in Oslo, London and Oxford this February.
We recently finished an animation made to promote velgriktig.no, which is to be shown on cinemas across the country. The purpose of the campaign is to recruit more students to mathematics and the natural sciences. The site is developed and run by RENATE, a governmentally initiated centre for promoting increased recruitment to this field.
Campaign material produced by us consists of the above commercial for cinema, a web-based film contest and ads for web and print. The cinema commercial reuses visual elements from an illustration developed by Oxygen and is narrated by Solveig Hareide, known from the popular TV-show Newton, who is also be present in the printed advertisements.
We have just finished the logos for these budding local cultural enterprises. Behind the first logo: “Eit fett liv”, is Vidar Dahl. He is a local scriptwriter/director, and he is currently working alongside our own movie buff Jøran with the completion of the short film Visdom.
The other logo is created on commission for the committee behind the plans for a house of litterature in Trondheim. This is a group of people from the city library, writers and so on. Check out their facebook page here.
Klipp og Lim has recently finished the production of an ambitious film for NCE Instrumentation.
Here’s a little background information on the project: The Norwegian Centres of Expertise (NCE) programme is jointly owned and implemented by the three main Norwegian innovation agencies: Innovation Norway, the Research Council of Norway and SIVA.
NCE has appointed twelve strong clusters consisting of world class enterprises in their field. The aim is to further development of the selected clusters to become motors for industry development through cooperation between companies, researchers, colleagues and public authorities.
One of the clusters is NCE Instrumentation in Trøndelag. It consists of companies which supply advanced management and communications solutions to companies in offshore, maritime, fish farming, energy and medicine.
Klipp og Lim was given the task to produce a informational film that promoted the idea of clusters and the work of NCE Instrumentation. There was also made a film targeting students, telling about the rich opportunities for education and work in the region, and there’s also an english version in the making.
In 2010 NTNU is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the foundation of NTH, the Norwegian Institute of Technology, one of NTNU’s predecessors, along with 100 years of the Student Union and NTNUI, Norway’s largest athletic association. It so happens that 2010 also marks the 250th anniversary of the Royal Norwegian Society of Sciences and Letters.
Klipp og Lim was commissioned to develop visual profile elements for this occasion. We made a series of illustrations and decorative elements that would give the promotional material relating to the anniversary recognizable features. The common denominator for this output was the emphasis on lines connecting entities suggesting historical continuity and relations between institutions, exemplified in the illustration above.
