This has been a productive and stimulating year for Klipp og Lim. We have gained the trust of new patrons, acquired new talented people and moved to Innherredsveien 7.

We’re really looking forward to embark on 2010! February we tear down a wall and expand our office space, and make more room for our production team. We’ll also rent out space and four resourceful people will be located at our address.

2010 also marks our 10th anniversary. We take pride in the fact that we have achieved to build a company that has sustained the test of time. Indeed a cause for celebration.

We’ll be back January the 4th — until then, Merry Christmas and a happy new year to everyone!

Klipp og Lim has for several years been a subcontractor for Scanpartner on this project. Initially our animator and illustrator Lars was commissioned to illustrate the three books about Regnmakerne by Klaus Hagerup. The characters he developed have since been an integral part of the rainmaker universe and have been featured on TV, web, printed matter and giveaways. Scanpartner has decided to serve the Enova account in-house.

As our involvement with Regnmakerne expired, Håvard chose to pursue a professional actor career and entered a three year course at Teaterproduksjon og skuespillerfag in Verdal. We wish him good luck in his future endeavors! We’d also like to thank Scanpartner for the collaboration and extend our greetings to Enova.

We recently finished a trailer and a movie poster for our upcoming short film; Visdom.

We’ve also started the editing of the film. The shooting took place in October — during two very long nights, we manage to turn Larsen cafe into a a daylight scene. The cafe holds a meeting between two old friends on different tracks in life. They both carry a heavy burden from the past which up to now has been kept under lid.

A sudden meeting with the dentist stir up suppressed memories. The film is directed by Vidar Dahl and Jøran Wærdahl and financially supported by Midtnorsk Filmsenter. Visdom will be launched during spring 2010.

We are proud to be a part of the very first Trondheim Documentary Festival. The festival is held at Dokkhuset here in the centre of town between the 27th and 29th of November. This festival is a collective achievement between several different organizations like Cintemateket Trondheim, Trondheim Journalistlag and many others.

Our contribution to this festival is the logo and profile design. This is distributed through a poster, a big screen slide at Dokkhuset, a website, t-shirts and other printed items.

Cielo (which translates into “heaven”) started their own small chocolate factory here in Trondheim 3 years ago. Earlier these heavenly lumps of calories only were to be obtained in a few local outlets, but now there is an alternative.

We’ve recently completed their new website, which utilizes the Snop CMS. This merry occasion also marks Klipp og Lim’s first venture in the land of e-commerce as we are proud to present a neat and intuitive web shop. Drag items into the shopping basket and check out, simple as that. We’re also in the process of developing a new identity, the logo seen above included.

Cielo was earlier blogged by Made In Norway Now as well, and we suspect more will pick up on these tasty chocolate pieces in the time to come! You can also follow the boys on Twitter.

After a few hectic days, we’ve revamped our site, made some big improvements and launched a few new services. First of all, it should be optimized to run smoother now in several ways. Here’s a short list of the changes and additions:

New front page: Minor adjustments, new graphic, new links and random case studies showing.

New services: A brand new section introducing our services! More on these in the time to come. Our newly launched site for Indikatoren™ is also worth checking out.

Portfolio: Updated, and with case studies. We’ve working on putting up recent jobs we’ve been working on the last weeks.

New info: Renamed ‘About’, this section has gotten a makeover. Also features a slider that in a quick and visual way sums us up and how we work.

Hope you like the changes! On a side note, our site was also featured on Minimalist Approach, a new website promoting minimalistic design from around the world.

Also, apologies for the absence of updates the last weeks. We’ve been very busy working on several projects but promise more frequent updates in the time to come. New jobs, news and some changes to this site are coming soon!

A nocturnal stroll along the mean streets of Trondheim can be a trial to your belief in human nature. Last Sunday and Monday night sinister sentiments were forced away by a centre of light in the midst of our city. A luminous show guided curios pedestrians to a scene displaying the virtues of creativity and workmanship.

The event taking place at Kafé Larsen was the shooting of the short film Visdom. This Klipp og Lim production is based on an original story by Vidar Dahl. Dahl and Jøran Wærdahl directed the movie together. The main characters were brought to life by Trond Peter Stamsø Munch and Ole Romsdal. The camerawork was provided by Øystein Moe using a Red-camera.

The film is partly financed by Midtnorsk Filmsenter and will be ready in time for next years Kosmorama festival.

Klipp og Lim has produced a documentary movie for Jernbaneverket in collaboration with Ofoten museum and sponsored by Kulturminneåret 2009. The film covers over a hundred years of history following the development of the Ofot railroad. The central focus is Katterat rail station. In the mountains of the north, only connected with the civilization by rail, there has through the 20th century been a population at Katterat. Work and income was mainly related to providing service functions for the railroad. The film has a focus on personal stories from different eras, featuring tales of the dramatic events in the Second World War and the hazardous work of construction the railroad in the late 19th century.

The entire film is almost 18 minutes long, presented here is a four minute extract.

We recently finished a new dynamic website for Studio Skeie, as usual based on our Snop CMS. Hope you like it.

We’ve produced a new profile and website for Trøndelagsutstillingen, another site that uses our Snop CMS. This site uses the whole browser window as a showroom for the exhibition.

We wanted to make a site which emphasized the works of art, and use photos of the exhibition space as backgrounds throughout the website. We also made a catalog and a poster, which we will publish here as soon as we’re able to take some decent photos of them.

We’ve finally settled into our new office at Innherredsveien! Still a few things that need to be sorted out, but we’re quite happy here so far.
