About us

We established the office in Trondheim in 2000. The firm is owned by the fine people that work there and our executive director is Svein Erik Okstad. External members of our board include chairman Thomas Jelle and Nina Steen. The body count equals 9 and in addition we have the advantage of an extensive network of experts and collaborators. Klipp og Lim works within a field defined by the perimeters design and communication. Consequently our portfolio spans a wide range of products on multiple platforms for a diverse group of customers.

Looking for a common denominator in our work, we would like to emphasis our ability to break down complex material and pass on the essential message to a wider audience. A majority of our patrons belong in clusters like culture, education and technology. Customers with communicational requirements that rarely can be resolved by a snappy slogan, but require refined content — adapted to suit any given media channel and aimed at a targeted audience.

Klipp og Lim are working with any aspect of information and the main body of our products are made in-house. In our staff we have a photographer, composer, animators, illustrators, designers and flash/web programmers. Besides having their special field of expertise, all of or employees have experience on related areas. This ensures good communication across the organization and that good ideas are never lost in translation between technical terms.

If there is a “Klipp og Lim method” it’s the effort to dig in to the material and really get to know the subjects that we are going to work with. That’s the primary the foundation for a successful solution. Furthermore, solid craftsmanship is important, but at the end oft the day it’s the unique idea that carries the project to a satisfying end.
